Design and construction of road and bridge access improvements to accommodate construction vehicles/traffic, bridge, and culvert improvements to accommodate new river/creek geometry, dam modifications required to drawdown the reservoirs, reservoir drawdown, dam and hydropower facilities removal, recreation facilities removal, and restoration of former reservoirs and other disturbed areas.
Contract will utilize the Progressive Design-Build (PDB) delivery method. The first phase will be awarded for design, planning, permitting support and pre-construction services related to the above. It is expected that subsequent phases (e.g., construction, post-construction monitoring) will be awarded to the same PDB contractor pursuant to successful submission and negotiation of Guaranteed Maximum Price proposals that align with the goals of KRRC and this project.
