USSD members may participate in the work of a variety of USSD committees.
Committees prepare reports and papers for publication by USSD. Committees also
assist ICOLD technical committees in preparing ICOLD Bulletins. Committee

Awards
USSD annually honors individuals and organizations through three awards: Lifetime Achievement Award, President's Award, Award of Excellence in the Constructed Project, and Outstanding Paper Award.
The USSD scholarship is awarded annually to a student enrolled in a dam-related program.

Foundations
Studies the overall engineering and geological aspects of foundations for large
