USSD offers special programs for individuals enrolled full-time at the graduate or undergraduate level in a U.S. college or university program related to dams. Students involved in engineering, environmental sciences, social sciences, economics and related disciplines are invited to join and participate in USSD activities.
Free Membership
Student Member annual dues of $20 are waived for the first year of membership. To join, simply complete the online application selecting "Student Member -- First year free" from the Membership Category list.
Free Conference Registration
One USSD Student Member will be selected by the Board of Directors to receive a free registration for each USSD meeting. Application information will be sent to Student Members prior to each meeting.
Scholarships
USSD Scholarships are awarded annually to U.S. college or university junior or senior undergraduate or graduate students whose academic program and research studies are related to dams and/or dam engineering. Only USSD Student Members are eligible to apply. Applications for the 2012 USSD Scholarships will be accepted until March 15.
