The USSD Scholarship Program

The United States Society on Dams awards scholarships to U.S. college or university graduate students whose research studies have a potential for developing solutions to design, analysis, construction, operation, safety, environmental, maintenance and rehabilitation problems related to dams.

Graduate students from U.S. academic institutions are invited to apply. Applications are encouraged from all fields of study related to USSD activities, including civil engineering, environmental and social sciences, water resources management, etc.

Applicants must submit a proposal describing a specific research topic, highlighting the original and innovative aspects of the proposed research work. Applicants are encouraged to submit proposals addressing topics that are related to their graduate research work, and the proposed research could be part of the applicant's ongoing research project.
